Dr.Larry Brilliant, or as Maharajji named him, Subramaniyum. He has given his life towards improving global health, firstly through helping to eradicate Smallpox in the world through the world health organisation, and then through the Seva Foundation which has restored the eyesight of 3 million blind people. Larry has not only moved mountains, he has done so with the electricity of love. He has done so out of love and devotion to Maharajji. He follows Hanuman's devotional mood in his work and is a living example of a true devotee. In his commencement speech at Harvard in May 2013 said: 'On Nov. 5, 1962, the Reverend Martin Luther King visited the University of Michigan. It was a dramatic time. The world teetered on the brink of nuclear madness during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Federal troops were on patrol after the first black student was admitted to Ole Miss. He said that "the arc of moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” "Here is what I ask of you: Imagine that arc of history that Martin Luther King inspired is right here with us. The arc of the universe needs your help to bend it towards justice. It will not happen on its own. The arc of history will not bend towards justice without you bending it. Public health needs you to ensure health for all. Seize that history. Bend that arc. I want you to leap up, to jump up and grab that arc of history with both hands, and yank it down, twist it, and bend it. Bend it towards fairness, bend it towards better health for all, bend it towards justice!"' Hanuman, and those who follow his example like Larry, live in service to God and all of the work one can in life is for the restoration of Dharma on Earth. Even after achieving so much he still attributes his work to Maharajji. In an interview for his book, Sometimes Brilliant he said: "From the day I met Maharaj-ji, and to the day smallpox was eradicated, 250,000 little children died in India from smallpox. And it was the major cause of blindness in India. It's been eradicated. This crazy old man in a blanket in the Himalayas said that smallpox would be eradicated, and that it was God's gift to humanity that this one form of suffering would be lifted."
